My Dyno Tune Numbers Today
Today my 1992 RS TBI was dyno tuned and with all my mods I got 158.5rwhp or 118.2rwkw LMAO. It was over fueling and running like crap but now its running mint so they tell me. I will pick it up tomorrow and give it a good blast and see.

Ouch considering all the mods you have. I've seen other people post nearly the same numbers on an LO3 stock with headers & full 3" exhaust.

Yea, someting is not working right. Another proof that cutting off the cat is not the best way to start modding.

You may want to think about investing in the EBL setup so that you can get the most from those mods. Cat delete or not it should be running better than that with a decent tune. Was that 158RWHP before or after they tuned it?

Re: My Dyno Tune Numbers Today
I just think it has the worst cam, worst heaedrs, worst exhaust and stock L98 heads with no milling done. I am surprised it made that much. It was 138rwhp before the Dyno tune. I would like more but I dont want to spend any more cash on it.

Re: My Dyno Tune Numbers Today
How much Torque did it put down? Do you know what head gasket / how much compression you are running?
It could be worse, you could have the stock L03 cam.

The L98 aluminum heads should have 58cc chambers. If the engine has the typical replacement gaskets they should be around .038". The compression cant be any worse than 8.5 to 8.75.

the cat delete can only help...
but either you're lying, or they played a joke on you.

Re: My Dyno Tune Numbers Today
a camshaft with more duration will rev higher and make more horsepower with that torque
some things change the power band of the engine up or down and some will increase hp and torque or its output

Re: My Dyno Tune Numbers Today
Maybe a little bit better, but not too much. I would seriously question the tune. Personally I would invest in an ALDL cable and do some logging myself to see what is really going on.
Hey Fast: That 181 RWHP must be with headers correct?

Re: My Dyno Tune Numbers Today
Well I guess the heads aint the problem then and 92 Camaro yes I changed the injectors to 350 ones and I do have a AFR the guys who are doing the Dyno Tune said the Air Fuel mixtures are right but I did stomp the pedal down on the way home and I had a couple of backfires and It stalled and died one time when I jumped on the gas as I was doing about 40. So its back at the shop getting it redone the tuner said the tune might be a bit to lean. BlueRS91 TQ was about 520nm's on the sheet. Guys with my Mods what roughly should I be getting? About 175rwhp perhaps?

Re: My Dyno Tune Numbers Today
That is interesting because it translates to this 520nm = 383ftlbs. That must be FWTQ which is really good for a 305.
To give you an idea where you should be I put your specs into DD2000 with 9:1 compression, Alum L98, same cam specs, 400cfm with Dual Plane intake, shorty headers w/mufflers. It comes up with 260HP@5000 & 332TQ@2000. I would guess that you should be able to make around 230FWHP with your combo being conservative which should put you closer to 200WHP.
