edelbrock performer intake vs bored stock 350 tbi intake

I am thinking about getting an edelbrock performer intake for my 350 tbi in my 89 formula. Is it worth the money or am I better off buying a used stock intake and getting it bored. Will it be about the same cause I do not care about the brand name intake. I can make the stock one look just as good. Just trying to save a dollar cause I work with someone who will bore it for me. Let me know what you think.

If you can find a used 3704 for a good price It could be worth it.

Been there done that, best manifold for a TBI 350 with some ***** in my opinion is the Holley 2b. It comes with the bigger bores and is a mid rise dual plane. You can get them at a good price on ebay. To make dual planes flow more on the top end without losing the low end punch I like to cut the divider down 1" to 1.25" from the top. Did a customers 355 with that manifold, 52mm Holley TBI, lil 21X/22X cam with stock un-ported heads and 9.7 to 1 CR put down 387lbs of torque to the wheels I don't remember what the HP was but I know it maxed out the aftermarket injectors with 18lbs of fuel press.

like in the reply above, does a tbi motor benefit with that cutway between both throttle bores? I posted a thread about this myself, I was wanting to do a little cutway myself with my edelbrock performer eps manifold.

Re: edelbrock performer intake vs bored stock 350 tbi intake

TBI and the "crossflow hole" are 2 separate things.

No matter what injection system, if the engine is out of air the crossflow will allow a little more air, if more air is not needed the crossflow will probably slightly slow down the incoming air velocity.

Most intake manifolds on the LO3's have a "crossflow hole", though with or without you cant tell the difference, unless you take the TB off and look in the bores.

Re: edelbrock performer intake vs bored stock 350 tbi intake
