Re: intake

the adapter is ok but that intake is way too big. hood clearance can be a problem when using some manifolds.

Re: intake

Advance Auto has a TBI adapter available as a special order part - takes a whole 24 hours to get, but only costs $30.

Weiand makes some nice intakes for decent prices (owned by Holley). IIRC I had the Weiand 8000 on my 1990 RS - it has EGR, is CARB certified, 0-6000rpm range, and had no fitment issues with stock hood factory air cleaner, and the TBI adapter from Advance Auto.

Re: intake

Sorry - I don't have a part number. And now that I think about it, it's been 5 years ago, so $30 isn't going to be accurate anymore. The one I got was just like http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TRD-2210/ - might have actually been that one.

But my main point was that, if you can get someone to go through the books at the counter, Advance and Autozone both ca get just about anything Summit or Jegs carries, without paying shipping and hassle-free returns - and it only takes a day or 2 as opposed to 3-10 days waiting on UPS.
