So i wanna know, which tbi chip do you think is best for mildly modified engines? (intake, exhaust, headers) Yes ik DIY prom is the best, but im talkin bout aftermarket chips. Hypertech? tbichips.com? Any others?
Also whats the difference between tbichips.com's hot chip and their stage 2 chip?

Re: Chips...which is best?
Brian says this:
NOTE: This chip disables the 108-115mph speed limiter placed on the TBI cars. I also increase base timing and wide open throttle timing along with minor fuel curve adjustments and torque converter engagement. My chips usually get either the same gas mileage or a slight improvement with a typical 20hp increase. This chip runs a very aggressive timing and fuel curve and should only be used with 91+ octane and for best results headers, high flow cat and cat back exhaust system. It also performs well with a mild cam.
The specifics you need to email Brian. I suspect that info is proprietary.

If you really whant a chip it would be a coustom chip, you need a ALDL to USB datalog cable, do some datalogs and e-mail them to your chip tuner so he can make adjustments. Then do some more datalogs with the new chip and see if some more changes need to be done, if so e-mail the new datalogs to the chip tuner so he can make adjustments and send you another one.
Best is to do a lot of datalogs in different days, circuits and seasons. The different ambient themperatures and load conditions may reveal new situations.
After some time and $$$ less you will be ready for this http://dynamicefi.com/
Contact the sellers and ask them what they change in the bin, may be a better way to know what you buy.
