97 vortec fuel pump
Ok guys I made a thread that I was having trouble with wot, well decided to check fuel pump when I took it out the strainer was barley holding on,well the little plastic piece thats attached to the pump that holds the strainer all fell off in the tank.was one of those off brand 255 pumps wont say which one.But Im running my tune with 18psi spring and was thinking of going with a ac delco 97 vortec pump.Do you guys think this pump will hold the 18psi or would it not,or would It shoot it even higher since this is a high pressure pump?I'm hoping this was my problem.I also found my tank was full of rust and the filter and strainer was full of it to!!

Re: 97 vortec fuel pump
I have an AC Delco 4.3 CPI astro van pump in my fullsize van that I ran my TBI with and then my TPI. It fed the TBI 350 easily up to 370+ RWHP.

Re: 97 vortec fuel pump
I used a pump for a '98 Chevy pickup with a vortec 350. My fuel pressure gauge only goes up to 15 psi, and it was pegged there at all times. THe car ran great and I had no more hesitation or stalling problems.
