Injector problems 1991 305 TBI

Alrighty first post, so lets make it sweet shall we?

1991 camaro, bone stock@ 156k miles, never had a problem in a year of owning it (other than an overheating caused by a bad radiator) and never had the heads off (still has french locks)

When you first start the car, it starts to run fine then varies idle between 500-1400rpm, up and down up and down, from nearly killing itself to wide open. I was told lots of things and have done alot of new senors it probally needed. Tps (from my mustang buddy who owned an eclipse that did this) MAP sensor (autotech teacher said the senor wasnt reading right acording to the snapon scanner we have, the lotus or something like that), throttle body gasket, coolant temp. switch, idle air control. When the problem first surfaced, my mom siad she noticed a significant decreese in the fuel mileage, and from then on whenever you started it the idle wouldnt stay constant when it was cold, and everytime you took off the car would lug down and nearly die, then all of a sudden take off like a bat outta, well you know.

Ive been told this and that and check this, and i noticed that the enjectors had a spray but also had a nearly constant stream coming out. What all controlls the injectors output? and im going to post a link to a vid below to show you what the injectors are doing. Can they both go out at once? becuase if this isnt the problem its 300 bucks down the drain.

thanks for your time guys

Walts

Welcome to TGO

First, check your fuel pressure - Stock TBI system needs about 12 to 14 PSI to be happy.

From your video and description it appears that you are having fuel starvation. Check Fuel filter - easy and if fuel pressure test comes back low - time to drop gas tank and replace that fuel pump. It is very common for FP to go bad after 16 years of service.

It is spraying, just the cameras video isnt enough to catch it. Theres a mist, but this is in the center of the mist, it seems to me like there is TOO much fuel, not starving it, but im gonna take it back into my shop class and test her again and see what kinda psi the fuel line has.
