Removing speed governor
I heard on another site that there is a wire you can cut and put a toggle switch on it and ou can turn off the gov. when you flip the swith, IIRC it was a brown wire under the pass. side of the dash, Is there any truth in this?

Or you could buy some tuning equipment and set it to 255 mph.. but if your like me and your tbi goes past 255mph you might want to go with the last post

streetassain, cutting the wire is not a good way if you frequently drive fast you whant the ecm to do its job and also learn.
Once you drive at new high speeds, with a unlimitted speed chip you will notice different behaviors in how the car runs and shifts. It took mine at least 10 times to shift right, and me too to feel how to keep it in overdrive and when it needs 3 gear.
Without the ecm there is no coordination it is just hazard.
Aniway Im courious to know how it reacts in overdrive and in 3gear without ecm so keep us updated.
And be carefull the stock rear springs handle dangerously, for high speeds you should put the 350ci gta variable rate ones that are a little better.
