TBI Tuners Digest
Since i've bought my tuning equipment from Moates i've been struggling to understand tuning and how everything works. I thought i would learn reasonably well considering i've taught myself how to use photoshop 7, autoCAD, and QBasic. But after datalogging my car and reading the forum im just left more confused as i see bits and pieces of very useful information that helps but still leaves me with more questions.
So the purpose of this thread is to compile every TBI tuning article On the net and then some. Hopefully we can also have some discussions on tuning techniques and perfections.
So over the next few weeks and months i will be gathering articles on here and hopefully you guys will too! So ill start it off by adding some articles.

Re: TBI Tuners Digest
Any tuning article that deals with a speed density setup will pertain to TBI. All FI setups are the same, TBI just needs a little more pump shot to deal with the wet flow setup.
Check the DIY board stickies, they have tuning threads broken down by ECM. There are several that deal specifically with the 746 and 747 ecm's. The 730 ecm is the MPI equivalent to a SD setup so alot of the theories apply.
You might also try my "come in for a free tune" sticky for some beginner help. I really shouldn't have used that thread title as it's a bit misleading and a lot of folks skip right over it.

Re: TBI Tuners Digest
This might help, but my view is that there are many threads that are easily found that cover the basics. It took me years to get as good with photoshop and autocad etc... most people including myself somehow get the view that tuning should be easier.
It took GM probably thousands of hours and multiple people with more sensors than we have access to on our cars to get them tuned as well as they did. I remind myself all the time that I shouldnt assume I could do it in a weekend or even a few weekends.
