wow, this is getting good
Jonas, any word on the timing display information? I don't know if you got my e-mail or not. Ken figured a way to change the data stream to display the ecm timing instead of battery voltage. The only problem was that it was a 16 bit value instead of the 8 bit. He even figured out the conversion and what needed to be changed in the eprom. Please get back to me about this through e-mail or the board. Thanks

I can make a custom 7747 selection (might even autodetect).
It is probably better to use the PROMID. That is two bytes, and I already combine them to an interger. In the new version that variable will be in the sensor log, so scaling can be done in Excel too.

Ok, then the OCX file did not install. Perhaps your windows 2000 was installed in a non-standard way.
win2000 installed on the D-drive and win 98 on the C-drive. The instocx.bat detects the installation on the c-drive, and tries to install it accordingly, even whenn you boot win 2000.
I think that I have a solution. Download this instocx.bat. Replace the one from the zip.file and try it again.

If it works I will use that in the next release.

Great software Joby! It really helps on my car. My question to you is, My girlfriend owns a 1991 383 Speed Density TPI Trans Am. Do you have any plans for adding support for these cars in the future? I saw that you added 85-86 TPI, and saw a glimmer of hope. Thanks again for the great software.

Jonas, do you know if an aldl cord for diacom will work with your winaldl program? Someone may have asked this before so forgive me for asking again. One last question. I have an old 486 nec laptop that only has windows 3.1, is this inadaquate to run your program on?

I think that the Diacom cable connects to the printer port, and then it will not work.
You need to install at least Win95 to run WinALDL

I built the cable last night.. I checked the voltage coming out of my laptop for the transistor and it only puts out about 5 volts so I changed it and will hook up I beliveve to the h pin on the aldl to get my 12 volts.. question I have is don't you have to jump a 10k resistor from a to b on the aldl to have it send data on pin e??? I haven't been able to try it as I just picked up my rebuilt engine.. can't wait to put it in! it's about -7 celcius here right now so I might have to wait a while..

Yes, on some ECM's you need a resistor between the A and B terminals on the ALDL connector.
I also updated the scematics in my web-page:

On my 84 Corvette pin H is not even connected.
You will have 12 V on pin G most of the time ( Fuel pump )

I see that 1988 F-body L03s are not on the list. Will you be adding them anytime soon?
Thanks for your effort on the program. You are certainly making our lives easier

If you help me find the 160 baud data defenition then I can probably add it. I need something that describes what each bytes in the data means.
