Wiring MIX-UP...which are which?
I have many pictures of wires on my car that i have no knowledge of what they are or what they do. Also some misc pictures of things I need verified.
Post as a quote with Pic 1=_____ (top) Pic 2=_____(Middle) Pic 3=_____(Bottom)
These first 3 I was wondering which wire/wires I keep when getting my AC Delete Box so I can still use my Heater.

Some of those dont look stock. Some of the wires look to be associated with the A/C and blower motor. The box on the D/S fire wall is teh wiper motor, the other on the pass. side is teh MAP sensor. Looks like there is a picture of the EGR thrown in there...
If you want to make your life easier, pick up the chiltons manual. In addition to the usual basic info, there are also copies floating around with teh complete reprints of the factory f-body electrical manual with the wiring diagrams as well as the diag. flowcharts from the factory service manual.

Re: Wiring MIX-UP...which are which?
The chiltons is ok. I have one with the factory wiring diagram manual included (100 some odd pages and worth its weight in gold). My parents gave it to me along with the car as a present years ago. I thought it was a nice touch at the time, but in reality, it was a bad omen of things to come...
I havent seen if its still available, but its a fairly thick manual, and has decent info in it. I wouldnt take it as gospel, but it does give you enough knowledge to make most repairs. Might want to try borders bookstore. I know they carry them from time to time. It was part of their total car care series. I've had a few others for my other cars and have been thoroughly underwhelmed with them, but the one for the camaro isnt half bad.

Re: Wiring MIX-UP...which are which?
The only reason I really dont like Chiltons or haynes is because its all black and white....with crappy type paper...and my brother just swapped a 305 into a v6 86 camaro...had some wires he and our buddy needed and had the hardest time finding out what they were....so they just test and tuned...checked each..if it didnt work..then thats not where it goes. Anyway Im looking online right now for updated 82-92 Camaro books.

Re: Wiring MIX-UP...which are which?
Yeah, the B & W does suck. I looked over a copy of the factory F-body wiring diagrams which is in color, and it is ALOT easier to read as you dont have to squint at the color code to ID the wire.

pic 11 = a/c control relay connector
pic 12 = fuel pump relay connector (in need of repair!)

Re: Wiring MIX-UP...which are which?
pic 23 = intake manifold vacuum source for heater, cruise control, vac ball, and other like stuff
pic 24 = that is the egr solenoid mentioned previously
The good thing about the wiring is that all factory connectors are keyed
to prevent bad things from happenning. That is how I learned where everything goes. Each connector only goes to one thing! The previous replies are from memory, but I have a Factory GM manual if you need more help.

pic 11 = a/c control relay connector (needed?)
Pic 12 = definitely fuel pump relay, i will correct the others in previous posts
I H8 WWD, please double check my info as I don't have the car in front of me for 100% verification. I wouldn't anything bad to happen . I got my GM manuals from this guy I find at all the swapmeets here in the northeast.
I only paid like $30 for both (service manual and elec. supplement)
