Hard starting, severe hesitation

Well, when I bought this car the owner said it had heavy issues starting and bogging.. and for the first day it was fine, but YEEK. She wasn't kidding. It hates starting, and it has random issues with throttle response (more throttle you give, worse it is, kinda as if the mixture gets worse and worse, probably leaning).. so I'm figuring it's fuel delivery at some point.. where would you guys start diagnosing on this? Gonna try to check the pump tomorrow.. need ideas in case that's not it.. Also, will a v6's pump feed a tbi motor? (may be a silly question, but possibly saving that kinda cash is worth a little ignorance rectification)

First thing you want to do is make sure you wired the TPS sensor up correctly. Sometimes if you wire it up backwards (like I did) the ecm will think it's going to WOT under idle conditions and vice versa for WOT. It would run pretty good under part throttle.
If you're sure that isn't it, then I would do some plug cuts. See if the engien is running lean or rich. You might also want to borrow a scan tool to watch for knock and vacuum at the map sensor.

Ooohhh bloody hell. Guess this just reached critical mass. Won't start this morning =P

From the smell of things, it's fuel deprivation. Hardly any gas smell.. even at the tail pipe.. and it only began to fire up once for a brief second, so I doubt it's just getting burned off. Gonna try to find a pressure gauge and get her tested out. Wish me luck =)
