my 454 tb IAC doesnt match up...any suggestions?

the one on my stock tb and on the holley thati just replaces is the "4 in a square" shape. the 454 tb has a "4 in a row" shape. no place has them, and at the dealer it looks like the only one they showed was the "4 in a square" one that i already had. what should i do? any suggestions?

match the wires on 350. i have an adapter made by turbo city. 305 you swap the 2 blue wires. here is how mine is. i have a 305.

they are labeled abcd on the plugs

a=blue/black stripe on 4flat
a=blue/white stripe on 4square. (top right looking at back of plug where wires enter female plug)
b=blue/white stripe on 4flat
b=blue/black stripe on4square

the green wires are the same.
c=green/white stripe
d=green/black stripe

o, sorry, just re-read you post.

the 4 in a row is a standard weather pack connector. where do you get em? should be able to find at any parts store.

Does anybody know where to find a 3 in row weather plug? It has to be the Male plastic side (with the green gasket on it) and have MALE metal pins. I tried finding them at the local parts stores in Jersey but they suck and then I tried out here in Ohio and still can't find it. So right now the thing is held together with zip ties around TB and nails as "extentions."

None of those are what I need. I think I'm just **** out of luck. Need to take apart a WeatherPack Connector and change the pins inside. Stupid mother****ers and their "special" pieces. Why couldn't it just have a standard TPS connector?urrrhhhhh
Z28 boy, what did you use for the TPS sensor to holley unit?

i can get you the part number for the IAC pigtail, but you dont need it with the holley. you need teh tps, which i thought is readilty available at all the parts stores. like every one up here has it, so i dont know why they woundt have it where you are Jon. you just need the 3-inline one, right? that is what TPS i have on my car. if you need me to, i can buy you one up here and mail it to you.

I've picked up the inline 3-pin units at NAPA auto parts. I couldnt find the IAC connector anywhere new so I cliped one off a wiring harness in a junk yard.

JP, did you find that 3 pin connector you were looking for? Found out today that its the same plug the GM used on the tps on their tpi cars. Atleast thru 87 fur sure.

Okay, the problem is the holley units TPS sensor is female housing but the pins inside are female as well. The problem I'm having is finding the male connector with MALE pins. I've looked and I can't find the connector anywhere. The one I had to rig had to be ordered and it was still the wrong part. I'm just going to call up Holley to get the part number if they even know. If anybody has the part number please let me know. Thanks.

JP, I don't know if you have anymore access to a tpi harness connector than you do the other but I used one to adapt to my gm 454 tb and it is the same connector you described.

this looks like a special connector, the 350tbi is totally different. will the wires be coloured the same?

thanks

Somebody get me the TPS sensor and mail it to me, I'll pay you for it. It NEEDS to mate up with the Holley unit. It has to be the male weather pack with 3 prongs and needs to have male metal prongs inside, I can't use it if it has female like ALL the parts stores in NJ and Columbus Ohio. I wish it wasn't this hard to get the stupid part. I called up Holley and they told me what you guys are telling me, that any parts store should have it blah blah. Please e-mail me if you can get a hold of one and see what it'll cost to ship to 43201. I'd like to use paypal if possible. Thanks

old thread, but i thought i would let people know, i can now get all of these plugs. and ill cut turbo city's price in half (tc's price = $20) on the 2 plug conversion ones if you want one of those. if you just need half a plug, they are very cheap. 5 bucks + 2$ shipping.
