my friend has a spare eaton m90 supercharger layin around....would it fit a tbi 305 and if so what mods would i need to make it work....im sure i would need somethin like a adjustable fuel pressure regulator or somethin to add in fuel what else? given that it will work? im contimplating a cheap heads/cam/ s/c setup jus cause i know i can get some spare parts for it for pretty cheap and it needs rebuilt now anyways

I thought the same thing for years and did a lot of searching and after being in my friends 03 cobra last summer, I had to do it.. Depends on the s/c i think every mustang guy has asked the same question lol. mine was an m90 from a 93 t-bird its the most common one the one from GTPs are harder to use because they have different casings. Even so your pushing the flow limits of the s/c on our engines, you'll need a smaller pulley. Everything is gona be custom. Your biggest problems are fuel like you said, you can up your pressure but that means an inline pump or upgrade the intank pump and the throttle body, it will leak gass pass the throttle shaft. and you will need to burn your own chips. those are my problems the s/c seems to blow tons of air at idle when you dont need it and bov dont really work well at least for me they woosh and whistle while cruising cause they dont let enough air get passed even a bypass valve isnt enough flow. The bracket to mount the s/c, intake tubing and outlet tubing have to be made along with lining the pulleys up and getting a new size belt. theres not enough room with the stock hood at least in a bird the top rubbed the hood and the pulley rubbed the insulation. you might be able to mount it the way whipple does with the truck tbi kit, putting the s/c right on top of the intake and tb in the back but i didnt want to make things more complicated. I mounted mine on top of the drivers side valve cover its a perfect spot if you have takein off the stock air cleaner and tubing you'll know what i mean. Looking back.. the passenger side would have been good if you dont want the AIR inj. system and a/c, but i keep the AIR system. I had to move the alt. so it went where the a/c compressor was since theres no freon in it from a cam swap 2 years ago and i dont use a/c anyway. some parts were a b**** to fit and other times things fit as if it was meant to go there, very weird. Its lots of fab work and down time, but enough of my ramblings the best way to explain is with pics! lol ill try and take some but i think we're gettin rain here tomorrow. but if you have any other questions let me know. theres a guy on the net that supercharged his v6 tbi you gota search for the site though he basically explains it all.

FWIW, I found this clip of a V6 Thunderbird with its stock Eaton on it. Heavily pullied though.

Got any pictures of your Eaton on the TBI 305?

The burn-out reminds me of mine. This was just stabbing the gas with the weiand supercharged 350 TBI in a 3.08 geared fullsize van. Easily turned the P295/50/R17s to smoke.
