Vortec Heads Kit or GM Crate 350
Is this the Vortec head kit that was mentioned a while back:

If it is, I'm either thinking about getting this set for my 305 (which has 107,000 miles) or getting a gm 350 crate:

Or this one, but it doesn't list what HP it makes:

I'm only looking for around 275hp and I'll be keeping it TBI. Either a 454 TBI or a Holley. Edelbrock TES or Hooker Super Comps. Thanx.

At a hair less than 1500 this seems like a good deal. I wish they stated the power it puts out.

I believe that engine is around 200hp. If it is expect around 300lds of torque or more.But a good combination would be any 350 after 87 with vortec kit with decent compression.

get a L98 shortblock, LT4 hot cam kit, and Vortec heads. The 350 H.0. Vortec does not have a roller cam. OR find out what heads were used on the pre Vortec 350H.0. they were non swirl port heads good for 300HP. that would use all the regular intakes that will be a lot cheaper than a vortec specific intake.
