350 injectors/305???
Just wondering if it would hurt to run 350 injectors on a 305 for a while until I do the engine swap???? I do have an apfr, and gauge set up. THe 305 currently has C.A.I/NO cat 3"exhaust/ultimate tbi mods, and msd coil and wires. I have not put the afpr on yet, but thats easy enough. Just wondering on what pressure to run with a basically stock motor and the 350 injectors.??? They are the 55lbh ones. Any thoughts and help would be great. The 350 will finally be ready next month, just waiting for some small parts. THanks for the help!!

Honestly, if you are getting detonation with the 305 injectors in there... I say get them out now! I did an exhaust upgrade alone and had to drive around with timing around -3* from base. Really pissed me off since I was getting 2nd gear scratches with the 2.73 gears. After upgrading to the 4.11 and a posi with a 9", I decided to throw in some 350 injectors so I could advance the timing up a bit. I'd rather run a bit rich than lean.
If you can hear the detonation, you better do whatever it takes to get rid of it. I havn't got all the info for tuning yet, so that is my only means.
Also, to let you know.. the stock fuel pump(LO3) will not put out more than about 13 psi. I made my pressure regulator adjustable and I could go maybe 1-2 psi over factory. I even tried a vice-grip on the return line.
