single plane verses dual plane
Is there a major differance in performance and do you lose low end tq with the single p verses a dual p? This will be going on a 350 with vortec heads and stock vortec cam,454tb,headman shortys and 3" cat back. I don't want to lose to much bottom end tq because this will be my daily driver and having to drive 50+ miles a day to work and back I ould like to keep the gas mileage reasonable, say arould 20 or so mpg. I am considering a performer rpm air gap but would also like to know if a victor jr would be an advantage or not?

that cam would be a bit on the mild side for a performer rpm, but it would be perfectly driveable and deliver good power. the stock vortec is set up for gobs of low end power, all of it below 5500 rpm. a single plain would likely be way wrong for that cam, it would cost you throttle response and low end drivability.
