Rerouting heater hoses/bypass valve.

has anyone rerouted the heater hoses and bypass valve so they don't just sit above the valve cover banging away on things??

How did you do it.

That routing is pissing me off big time and i am going to change mine.

Any ideas??

Mike

I know how you feel. I was thinking about replacing the two hoses with something maybee more flexible ur using some type of 90* elbow fitting coming out of the firewall. to route everyting down alnog the firewall. I havn't given it alot of thought. I know Paplo just stripped his out lost use of the heater though. Mine is a summer driver only so I've considered that but I dont want to lose the defrost on cold mornings. Any other ideas?

i took out my A/C so i had a lot of extra space. since then i have taken out my heater system, so now i dont have anything..here is what i did though...

whatever the hell that silver/aluminum anister thing is that is part of the A/C system (yeah i know...i shoudl probly know this but i dont). well what i did was use the bracket that held that to the heater box and used it to hold the bypass valve. i had to mess around with the hoses if i remember correctly, but i dont think i had to buy anything new..i just cut the existing ones. i will try to see if i have any pics, if i find them i will post them.

here is an old pic that kind of shows what i did. i thik i took one of the hoses and put in in backwards and it fit a lot better where i had it. its kind of hard to explain.
