Your favorite WB 02 and why
hey guys, its said in nearly every post relating to tuning how important a wide band 02 sensor is to dialing in your motor for obvious reasons, however im pulling together info on the various units available to see which ones suit different applications.
so those of you wo have used a wb post up with your comments on how they have worked out for you and what you suggest!

I'm very happy with my Zeitronix ZT-2. It samples at about 56Hz, so you get great data resolution. I've used the 0-5 v analog input to bring in the ESC signal, so I can see knock on the same graph as AFR, TPS, RPM, and MAP. I think the software could be improved a bit, but it works pretty well. Overall, a good value for the cost compared to other WBO2's.

I have the Innovate LC1, I really like it because it was the cheapest one out there. It works well, just like the LM1 sensor. I have the EBL though, which is the reason I got the LC1 and not the LM1 because I just have it wired into the EBL and it outputs in its log. Works great for me and runs right along with all the other outputs from the EBL so you see everything that's going on at the same time.

I have the LM1. Fairly good unit, and its hand-held so I can also use it on other vehicles as well as plug it into my PCM. More expensive, though.

for anyone not in the know
Innovate LC1 is a Wbo2 sensor and controller that outputs a 0-5v signal to wherever you want it, you could probably run a voltmeter off of it and interperet the data yourself or send the data into the EBL RBob created and it shows up in your datalog screen. Basic price is $199 check it out at; http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lc1.php
Innovate LM1 is the LC1 plus a handheld unit that runs on batteries and interperates the data for you and also datalogs it, very usefull if you plan on tuning multiple cars, more modular vs. the more dedicated and cheaper LC1 setup. expect to pay for this though as the LM1 comes in at $349 for the base kit. There is a second version of the LM1 that allows you to input other sensors into your handset as well. this one checks out at $429. Check them both out at; http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lm1.php
the Innovate stuff is made to appeal to carb guys as well as EFI people so it has some features not totaly necessary to our cars, like the pricier LM1 kit with the additional sensor inputs, we allready have this in our ALDL streams but to a carb guy this may be a great feature.
The Zeitronix unit is a standalone piece that replaces your Narrow band and has some features to smooth that transition since your ECM is setup to work with the crappier NB02. it comes with software to integrate other sensor info into the datalogging software that comes with it as 91rocks pointed out. This can make tuning easier since you know more of whats going on in the engine. price for the base ZT-2 package (WB/controller, software and EGT retrofit) is $279. check it out at; http://www.zeitronix.com/order/order.htm
Any other input on WB's? i think we covered the three main units and their features. if i can get some more feed back and refine this it might help out some people making the jump into tuning.
