The easiest way to wire it up IMHO is to run a wire from a switch in your dash to the fan switch in the passenger cylinder head.

Connect the free side of the dash switch to ground.

I like this method for a couple of reasons. It doesn't change the stock operation of the fan. It's safe electrically. The fan shuts off when you turn the key off.

I personally prefer a fully automatic system. I would put a lower temp fan switch in to keep coolant temps down.

big tex, I got the E-mail, the schematic shows how to retain the stock system and still use a manual switch. Anyone else need a copy?

Duke, i odnt know how your schematic showed it, but the wire fo rthe fan switch is right in the big wiring harness on the firewall near the power brake thing. if i remember correctly, it was a green wire??? i just tapped into the wire and ran a switch into the interior of the car.

Z28 Boy, I love your car. Guess because it looks like my car.

That's how I originally planned on doing it, but the guy that had the car before me removed the relay and had the fan running whenever the key was on, so I had to do it this way. There's alot of ways to do this, this is just one of them.
