300 hp for $1000
My budget is $1000, and i would like to get my LO3 TBI to 300 hp or more for $1000 or less. I have already upgraded my suspension and i have the automatic with the limited slip differential drivelin. But i want to get optimum performance out of my 91 bird. That said, HOW?!

full exhuast-something like the hooker 2055's with a good 3" catback
heads- like a nice set of done over 081's(i know the swirl port guys say it can be done, but the runners have to be profiled a certain way...the 081's can make decent power in stock form) i had a set of 416's (basically the same as the 081's, just with perimeter valve covers and 90* angle bolt holes) that were stock with a fresh valve job and a backcut on the valves. i made an estimated 330fwhp
cam-mine was originally a 214/224 .442/.465 crane blue racer, but that is a hydrualic flat tappet. if i were you, i'd stick with a roller cam if possible. we put in an lt1 cam in my buddies car with decent results
intake manifold-a holley or edelbrock tbi intake will be great
roller rockers-i'm a huge fan of the comp pro-magnum's, though they are not in your price range...like $300...a nice set of 1.6 ratio roller tips would do the trick though
tune-you'll never get it to run right without proper prom tuning
honestly, it ain't gonna happen for $1000, building a fast 305 isn't cheap...trust me, i know

Honestly i understand everything that your saying but i would like to kno brand names models and if possible product numbers. I dont really have a budget of $1000 (its more about $2,500), and ive already fabricated 3" straight pipes coming out the side of my car. SO that wont be necessary. But would u recomend any of the total power packages like u can get from jegs or summit or anything like that?

those power packages are built around a 4" bore...they ain't gonna work really well on a 305.
i'm not sure what else you want from me, i told you what to look for
-081 heads
-lt1 cam or something a little hotter (do some research man...call some cam companies)
-roller rockers, i like the pro-magnum's by comp
-intake, edelbrock or holley, either is good
-tune, without this ain't none of that gonna work.

yes, but to get them to work in your application would almost make it worth it to swap the entire lt1. they have reverse flow cooling and makes putting them on a gen 1 sbc impossible without serious modifications.
however, the camshaft that is in them will work in your motor without any modifications and will be a decent power increase.

Camaros 93-97 had the LT1 motor. in 98 they came out with the LS1. They used the same motors in the same year vette's also.
