TBI 83 G20 Cargo Van, Yes I did say cargo van
We have amoungst us the honor of having one of the best performing tbi machines in recorded history.
Thanks to the skillful knowledge and sharing of ...
Yess You guess him..
Fast355
He has shared his spec # of his miraculous Cargo van. I would tend to give him some modest credibility of a TBI VAN doing a 15.7 1/4 (a rocketship for a cargo van), but....
He has also shared its proven abilty to do 70-0 in 100 ft beating out even a ferarri Enzo that does 60-0 in 109ft.
Proof for the all mightly TBI king himself, Fast 355...
(since he hangs out here on the TBI boards most, figured some of you may want to see some of his other work elsewhere on TGO). You'll have to page down to the 9-18-05 posting where his contributions to us start

I don't know anyone that uses a tape measure to determine stopping distances. Even the car magazines that do road tests & braking tests, use a computer data logging devices (like Vericom) employing a 5th wheel, or they use an external laser range finder and extract the stopping disatance from that data.
So when someone here posts stopping distance, it has to be from using an accelerometer like a GTech or Tazzo... and they aren't perfectly accurate.
So if someone, like Fast355, posts that his van stopped from 70 mph in 100 feet, I don't believe the number... and so I question the instrument he used to get the data. But I would believe 126 feet from 60 mph especially with the weight distribution in his van, and knowing what he's done to both the front and rear brakes. 126 feet from 60 mph is sensible, and on par, with the stopping distance obtained in tests of the 94-96 Impala SS, as well as the stopping distances for the police-spec (and much heavier) Tahoe models that Chevrolet Specialty Vehicles used to sell for police use after the Bcar platform was discontinued.
Furthermore, Fast355 has posted in several forums here on TGO and he knowledge and experience if obvious. He posts in the DIY EPROM forum and those people would cut him down if he didn't know what he was talking about. So he has skill with computers, ECM reprogramming, and data analysis. He also gets his hands dirty, as evidenced by his other posts elsewhere on mechanical items. People don't always agree with him, but on the whole, what he writes makes sense and he is helpful and proactive when it comes to TGO topics.
So I don't get excited when he says he stopped from 70 mph in 100 feet; it's not impossible (I know, I wrote code to analyze stopping distances and the heat deposition into the brakes, and the temp rises that results from it) but it does seem excessive... and more likely from poor data. OR maybe he is right....
And it's also poor form on your part to attempt to discredit him on TBI as a result of your dispute with him on the v6 forum. It's no wonder that you get repeatedly banned.
