Stuff needed for 350 swap
I am gonna switch to a 350 (finally) and I just want to make sure I will have everything I need.
-I am buying the hooker 2055's so I will put them in at the time of the swap.
-350 knock sensor
-new chip burned
what else am I gonna need to get this thing to run?

Am I going to be able to run 350 injectors in my current TBI? I have the ultimate TBI mods done and will probably switch to a bigger one at a later time.
Where can I pick up the injectors and the ESC module??

Just curious, but are you going to burn your own chips?

As far as a new ESC module goes how much do you think it would cost??
As far as burning chips goes, me and my friend both have TBI 3rd gens so we are thinking about picking up the equipment so we can both use it, but I may purchase a custom chip from www.tbichips.com just to get started.
Also, what year trucks and Caprices had the 350 TBI motor so I know what to ask for when I get them?

esc, injectors and knock sensor from gmpartsdirect cost me like 300 but the injectors are $98 and change a piece. Also, tbichips is a good guy, but tell him to make you a factory 93 caprice cop chip, he tried to make me a performance oriented one and it doesnt work too well because he didnt have any of my datalogging done.

I was checking out Autozone prices and the injectors were in the $60-$70 range, the ESC was about $70, and the knock sensor about $35. Plus I have a couple friends that work there so I can get like a 20% discount. Thanks for the tip on tbichips, I will eventually get into burning myself I just need something to get started with.

Will that pump work fine with a TBI setup or will it be overkill?? If it works I think I will pick one up!

350 swap
I just did this in my caprice. I ran it for a time with the 305 ESC module and the 305 injectors with a custom chip, but I don't reccomend it. I went with the buick roadmaster chip and the 55lb 350 injectors until I can get my chip reprogramed, though with the price of gas the stock 87 octane chip may stick around for a while. The ESC module did make a noticible difference in mine. I think F body 350's had the L98 cam, so if you are looking for a stock computer go with the Caprice 9C1 (91-93) and 65 lb injectors if you are using a motor with that cam. They too had the L98 cam. The buick stuff (mine) has the lowly peanut cam so unless you do to, avoid it. The 9c1 chip has no speed limiter so thats cool, or just go custom. This is all of course assuming your 350 is stock. If you are stock your fuel pump will feed the 350.

Exactly what ESC module do I need? I was looking them up at Advanced Auto Parts for an 89 Caprice and there are like 4 or 5 listed. Anyone have a part #??

350 knock sensor (GM# 10456288), 350 ESC module (GM# 16128261)... and the pump isnt overkill, 255lph/190lph.. doesnt matter, youve got return lines... if it pumps more than your motor can take, it simply wont take it.. if you get the big guy, you will know that you can handle quite a bit of horsepower if you do go down that road...

Sweet. You wouldn't happen to have a part # for the injectors I need as well would you?? The motor is supposed to be around 300 at the crank so how big of injectors would I need??
