It's been a while since I rebuilt mine but I think I can help.
To be honest, I couldn't find out what those "pinhead-sized filters" went to either. I left them off when I did mine, but I hope somebody else will chime in about them. I figured they went one the injectors somehow, but couldn't figure it out.
Did you only find one clear washer? You should have two that are slightly different in diameter. They go on the metal fuel lines that go into the TBI unit. The instructions that come with the kit should show you that, IIRC.
When you say fuel pressure regulator, are you refering to the diapragm (spelling?) or did you actually get a whole FPR? I think mine was shaped a little bit different but it works fine. As long as the middle metal piece is holding the spring and the gasket seats all the way around it should work just fine.
Hope this helps.

Benm109 is pretty much right on. I rebuilt my TBI with the same kit a few months ago and I know exactly what you are talking about. Don't worry, the two pinhead sized filters appear to be extra injector filters for another type of TBI. If you look at them, they can fit over the little nozzle in the middle of the fuel injector. Our TBI does NOT have those and you simply can just throw those out. The Fuel Pressure Regulator gasket that you are talking about is a tad bit different in appearance than stock. HOWEVER, it functions the same and IS meant to be used with our TBI. Again, as Benm109 said, those clear washers are for the fuel line connectors that screw into the TBI. Just follow the directions carefully and DO NOT over torque anything, especially those fuel line connectors. You can easily crack/break the fuel housing if you over tighten those things. Good Luck!

All tbi injectors that Ive seen have those little screens in the sides of them. The best I can tell is that its to allow fuel to flow around the solenoid coil and cool it down or possibly to vent the rear of the injector.
