Error 43 is ESC error. The knock sensor circuit has failed the forced knock test due to no knock being detected or runaway knock is present. Might be ignition timing is retarded (or advanced if there is runaway knock), the knock sensor and/or module is bad, or there is a wiring fault.

Error 51 is a prom error. If you get a flashing SES light ever that means that the prom is either not present, there is a bad contact or something, or the checksum of the prom is incorrect.

Sometimes you will get a code 43 with any cam swap and a tune that is close to stock. The forced knock test won't work and you will get the code.

car ran great for a year and a half (on a stock chip) and now runs like crap and I can't figure out why.
replaced all exhaust gaskets plugs wires cap and rotor injectors fuel pump. I'll try and get some data logs today. What should I look for?

thanks again

I think it has to be a sensor or something mechanical.
it runs great at part throttle but it has no power when I romp on it. Also the cat some how gutted it's self.

would any body be intrested in being kind enough to look at some data logs?

thanks again

ryan

If its throwing a code 43 then itll definatly run like crap. The ecm sets full retard when a code 43 is set. Ill take a look at the logs, my emial is in the new to tbi stickie at the top of the board.
