port match intake manifold or not?

I am debating port matching my edelbrock tbi manifold to the stock heads or not. I would do it in a heartbeat, but the pushrod humps sticking out in some ports makes me wonder if it would help at all. What are your takes on this?

smooth air flow, is smooth airflow. its hard to get flow, if you have alot of turbulant air.

It isn't worth it. I thought about it to and I would spend forever try to smooth out that much material. Luckily the shourding that is there is minimal and just one more reason to step up your heads.

Just to get a head start, do you have any idea how close the edelbrock tbi ports match up to the stock heads?

If you had the stock intake like I still do, then I might say okay, try gasket matching them to see if you get any improvements out of it. I bascially just polished my stock ports a little, because I didn't have the right bits. Since you have the Edelbrock intake, it's probably pretty close anyway. I think you may be able to just polish the ports up some and get maybe a little more flow.
Wish I'd have taken some pics when I was doing it. Man those stock casting walls are rough!

I honestly have no idea. I never really held the two up to each other. I am pretty sure the exit of the port size is similar.
