4cylinder intake manifold
I have an '84 bird with a 2.5L that I'm going to start performance work on this summer. The FAQ's said Edlebrock makes a TBI performer intake manifold for the iron duke engin.But...Edlebrock said they don't anymore. Anyone know of anyone who actually makes a performance intake manifold for this engin? Or when it comes time should I just port the stocker? Any info/links are appreciated. Thanks in advance. PS While I'm thinking about it...anyone make an upgrade for heads? Thanks again.

mmmmm, the six cylinder in my berlinetta is bad enough, but your only running 4.... im sorry, i feel your pain. Honestly, i dont think anybody makes parts for that anymore, try a search on the boards. Also, http://www.cliffordperformance.com might have something. They make parts for inline engines.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate you all taking the time to try to help me out(even the turbo suggestion, though I do plan on staying N/A for reliability reasons). The fiero site didn't directley have links or anything, it did mention gm's "super duty" program for the duke. Searching for that I was able to find heads that were made for it, and an intake manifold. The thing is that the intake manifold is designed for a carburetor(very similar to the ones on the clifford performance site) and I want to keep the EFI(again for reliabillity and efficency reasons). Is it wise to try and addapt a TBI unit to a carb manifold? they're at www.flatlanderracing.com . click on(sorry my computer dosen't display websites right so I can't give a direct link) "gm performance parts(left side scroll down), then "pontiac v8 & superduty 4". On intake manifolds it's the first on the page. On heads there's two half way down & one at the end(aluminum's kindda expensive ). If anyone knows if the manifold will work with EFI please post. If not don't worry, I'll e-mail them eventually. Thanks again guys for all your help so far! :hail:

lq9, I knew the Fiero site didn't have a lot of aftermarket pieces but it did show how someone could do some cheap or free mods. It also stated that the stock intake and exshuast wasn't all that bad. Your stock parts may not be the same as the Fiero's but they may be interchangable. Just a suggestion thats all.
