Plenum Divider Kit

Plenum Divider Kit
Is it necessary to use the plenum divider with TBI. Holley's website says that if you use a automatic trans you need a plenum divider for low RPM vacuum. What does vacuum have to do with a Automatic Trans?

no you shouldn't need it. using that will get rid of the benifits you see from going to the one large open plenum.

Yeah, that is what i was thinking. I still don't really understand why you would want it with a automatic trans. Maybe because of a lack of throttle response with carbs in the low end.

remeber, TH350's and TH400's are hooked to vacume.
700r4's like 3rdgens have, are not.

Oh, well that would make more sense then. Well it was ordered and it should be here wednesday! The intake was the last piece i needed, so the build-up will start next week. With a little luck i will be able to have it ready to go around march.
