A TBI does not use or implement an air foil. TPI and LT1/LT4 systems do. They are skeptical but there are a few tests that have shown up to 5 at the wheels. GM high tech performace added a holley one to their project LT1 and they saw 3 at the wheels and were so amazed that it really worked. If you look at a stock TPi or LT1 throttle body you will see why this can be an effective mod. there is a large cavity between the bores and air foil fills in that cavity. This is better off in the TPI forum.

i wonder if there is a way to make one for out setups?

anyone seen anything like it?

the holley injctor pods have little round caps that go on the injectors (well at least they did a few years ago)...

Not sure if anyone's ever produced one, but I'm planning on making one when I ditch the stock air cleaner and rig up a tpi-style snorkel. With TBI, the air foil would be a complex task.. not just smoothing incoming air at the throttle bores, also trying to get it to avoid hitting the fuel distribution tower, smooth out the flow over the injector pods (like the holley units), etc.. would end up being a rather robust multi-piece unit.

you're obviously missing the point of it...

the TPI throttle body has 2 openings in it.... the "bar" between the two openings is flat.

the air foil is suppost to slice into the air and split it into the two openings smoothly.... instead of the air just hitting the flat bar

on a TBI, there is no intake duct.
we also have a large injector pod right over the TB inlet
and there is fuel spraying down in there anyway...

not only do we not need one, but theres nowhere to put one.

even if you go to the TPI snorkel there is still no difference, no room, and no point, then you just adding restrictions inside the air cleaner housing. if you really want to smooth out the incoming air then port/polish the bores and radius the edges. TPI's have an airfoil cuase theres a cavity between the two bores. I have done the TPI snorkel conversion (9" x 3" cleaner fully enclosed) and its pointless to add an airfoil. "
