old intake vs tbi intake

I have a old chevy 4bb intake and was wondering if I modify it to fit my lo3 and got a tbi adapter, would it be better take that its a stock intake?Would porting have any benefits?I had this intake on my 83 Trans Am that had crossfire that I switch out and don't really want to buy another unless it can't be a much inprovement as itwas over the crossfire.I do realize that it was an inprovement over the crossfire.

im sure anything other then stock manifolds will flow better. especially the TBI manifolds, aftermarket carbed manifolds are certainly better the LO3 intake. im in the process of ditching mine its no good the water ports are crystalized and pitted, and its cracked, its aluminium go figure how it was cracked, much less the crack is on the underside.
