I need a recomendation for a cam kit
89 rs lo3
Im changing my timing chain and decided to do the cam too.I'd like to do the LT1 swap.My roller lifters are pretty wore too so I need to replace them.Any ideas for a LT1 cam/roller lifter kit from Comp,Edlebrock, etc?A Summit part number would be helpful since thats where I'll be getting it.If you cant think of a kit, could someone recommend a lt1 style cam to me?Buying the cam and rollers seperately cost big $$$!!!Im hoping to find a kit thats cheaper than buying seperately.Thanks.

just look for a stock LT1 cam, you can find them on www.camaroz28.com or ebay for pretty cheap. Also, how do you know your lifters are worn, roller lifters last for a long time, dont get them confused with regular flat tappet lifters.

The engine has 193000 miles on it.The roller portion had grooves in it and looked pretty fugly.I havnt pulled the pulled the peanut cam yet but I figure it to be wore too.
Im a little leary of a junkyard LT1.If I get one I'd want the rollers off the same engine that way they've wore together.Am I making sense?Im afraid the current rollers grooves and the lt1 grooves wont synch and mess something up.Maybe Im reading too far into things..... Wow...now I confused myself!!!

you should be cool with some new lifters and a 50K mile or less LT1 cam, go to www.sdpc2000.com ,you can get Federal Mogul roller lifters for about 128 a set.
