Just Got Back From The Dyno

Hey guys - I just got back from the dyno today - here's what I got and what I learned:

206 rwhp
300 rwtq

Thats with the car puttering out after 4,000 rpm because my valves were adjusted too tight *according to the shop guys*
watching on the computer you could see the power just drop off real decisively once the lifters pumped up.
I went home today and installed my 1.6 ratio roller rockers and the car feels a LOT different. Winds up faster - seems to bog less at low rpm, tugs reallllly nice - I only wish I wasn't testing it on wet roads *I hit it in 3rd gear and it didn't feel like it was pulling, I think I was spinning some. lol*

Here's my combo for those interested. I'm going back tomorrow if possible to get another couple pulls. If I can hit 220 rwhp I'll be really happy (that'd be 300hp honest).

1406917 Truck Heads (centerbolt - non swirl, non vortec with 1.94 1.50 valves and mild port/polish/match work) - they looked up as 300hp truck heads - I pulled them off the boat motor core I used.
Rocker Arm studs and guide plates
Hardened Pushrods
HV oil pump
Holley 2in Bore TBI Intake
Holley 670 cfm TBI w/ 85 lb/hr injectors
custom Eprom
9.5:1 compression
Forged pistons / PM Rods / Cast Crank - Balanced w/ARP Goodies
Edlebrock headers into full 3in flowmasters
Open 14X3 element
Accel Ignition w/ H.O. coil
Harland Sharp Roller Rockers 1.6
Crane Compu Cam (112 lobe sep / .440/.454 lift / 210 / 216 duration) (now .470 / .483 lift w/new rockers)

Once she's dialed in, I'll have a 300hp / 300 tq 350 that'll spin to 5500 rpm all day.

thats all I have off the top of my head - of course with it is the gearing, cooling, and tranny to match. Enjoy guys

What was the air fuel ratio?
Peak power was at 4000 rpm?
Seems like it was getting choked off a little up top from something if peak power was at 4000 rpm.

Maybe that holley TBI intake manifold or just tuning.

it was dropping off b/c the valves were set too tight. last night i put on 1.6 rr's and went back 2 the dyno this morning - 212 rwhp and 310 rwtq - a big improvement.

Good numbers. Do you have a dyno graph that you could post?

I would like to see RWHP numbers with the rockers on and adjusted now...

Who did your chip? That duration should be making peak power at around 5500 rpm I'd imagine assuming the heads can handle it. Id love to see your graph.
