Hi i'm new to this!
Hi, i'm new to this site. I have an 89 RS but the person I bought it from put a 350 TBI engine in it. What type of mods can I do to it, to make it faster, or perform better? And can any intake manifold for a 350 work on it? Or can it only be one specifically made for a TBI engine. WebLinks would be great. Thanks!

I would suggest doing a search. The first thing I would do would be full exhaust from the headers back then maybe gears to start out with. You can do a lot for performance!

Transmission: T-56 upgraded internal
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 3.42
do a complete tune up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve, do that first then do the exhaust, thatll be the best bang for the buck

yes, before you even think about modifiing, make sure what you have is in the best shape it can be in. you can toss all kinds of money into an engine, but if the basics aren't in good working order, it will do no good.

Yeah make sure everything is running good and that the dude that had the car before you did the swap right. Go with edelbrocke headers and a full cat back exhaust first ,an open element air filter (be sure to drill a whole in it for the temp. sensor , its located in the bottom part of your stock cleaner theres a wire running to it you cant miss it ),and yes any manifold for a 350 with centerbolt valve covers will fit it but youll have to get an adapter plate for the tbi from www.turbocity.com., definetly a 3.42-3.73 gear, and also youll need a holley 670 cfm thottle body, all that would be a good start. I am running an 89 with a 350 tbi to so look at my sig if you need any ideas . Good luck
