Ok guys, this may be a dumb question but due to my lack of knowledge I was wondering if the Holley TB unit rated at 650cfm's (if i remember correctly) will flow near the numbers that a 670 cfm Holley street avenger carb will. I know that very soon I am going to be puttin in my 350 swap. I love the idea of fuel injection and if the holley TB unit can accually flow 650cfm's like they say it will then I would be willing to sacrafice the 20cfm's lost to a street avenger carb. The two are basically the same price and if 20cfm is the only difference I am looking at between the two then the fuel injections benifits more then make up for the cfm loss (IMO). Summit claim 300+ hp for the 670 street avenger so I could only assume the Holley TB unit could handle the same? Any opinions as well as techincal advice would be apreciated. The motor wont be anything spectacular, 355, 1.60,2.02 heads and a decent cam, just enough to give it a lil lump. all my bolt ons will transfer to the new engine including headers and if I stick with TB then the edelbrock TB intake. If i go car I would get a Edelbrock PRM. Just wondering if going carb would really show any kind of major difference over the TB that would consitute ditching my fuel injection.
Thanks
Scott

Well, to begin, the Holley 670 is rated at 3" hg as all 2 bbl carbs and TBs are. The Avenger is four barrel and is rated at 1.5"hg. So anyways, when converted, the Holley 670 is actually less then 500 cfm in four barrel terms. BUT as far as handling over 300 hp, the Holley 670 TBI will do just fine. There are a few people on this board making over 300 hp with it. So, for your application, you should be able to stick with the fi.

Thanks for the reply.. My car will only be a weekend pavement pounder.. I drive it as my daily driver so I dont think I will ever want anything more then 300-330 hp.. thats plenty to make sure i keep up with all my buddy's and still get decent gas milage and reliability.. The Holley TB is definatly what I will do and thanks again
