305 350 TBI engines?

Okay ive got couple of questions

First dont know why didnt think of this before but should just buy 350 TBI engine.

Okay so was wondering how much horsepower does 350 TBI stock engine.Over the 305 TBI's 170 HP

Second im going to buy 350 tbi engine so do need the wirring harness? From what vehicle do buy it from and do all 350 TBI bolt up to automatice TH700 R4?

So should be abl to use ZZ4 Cam right.
And the edelbrock aluminum centerbolt heads.

Yes....and not neccessarily. Use the 350 injectors, not the ones from your 305. Also use the 350 knock sensor. The chip depends more on your cam than the block size.

Also what will my quarter mile times be with the 350 stock

what would be the best cylinder heads would the edelbrock centerbolt aluminum heads be a better performance choice than the aluminum vortech

also does the 350 tbi have the same size manifold as the 305.

just worry about getting the moter in their and getting it to run good first before you start wondering about what 1/4 times you will be running. But any way you will need a 350 chip that will work with teh 8746 ecm and then you need 350 injectors, 350 esc module, and 350 knock sensor.

Well, when you consider all the other variables involved...probably somewhere between 10 seconds and, oh, say 45 minutes. Ya know..all things considered.

And yes..the manifold is the same. The TBI unit is the same. The only thing different is the size of the injectors.

They've got two different sets of 350 injectors that you can use, I got the 55# ones off of a pickup but you may want to find a set of the 65#/hr ones since your going to be adding heads. Also, you may want to try to find a 454 TBI unit because it has bigger throttle bores. A good chip to get you running is the caprice cop car chip. That chip is made for a 350 TBI (I think they were in 89-90's) I don't have the chip number with me though, but you can call up hypertech and they'll throw it your way. or you should be able to find it on diy-efi.

Good luck,
Mike

350 TBIs had either 190HP or 210HP and 300ft-lbs. The cars were only rated at 190 because of their restrictive exhaust. The trucks had a better exhaust because it was pretty much a straight shot out the back and they had a better induction system. The 350 TBI cop cars though were rated at 210 because they came with the L98 cam and bigger injectors. Im sure an L05 with a LT1 cam, edelbrock intake, 65# injectors, headers, exhaust, etc. is worth at least 275HP at the crank. Im planning on going with that same setup at i do a probuilt street/strip tranny and either a 2400 or 2800 stall TC.
