i need a chip for performance

i am new at this and just wanted to get to know other ppl that have throttle body injection camaro's...

i have a 1988 chevy camaro with tbi...i burnt out the engine (305)racing and i recently put in a 350 crate engine...rated at about 260 hp...i have an open air element, throttle body space, hei coil, rebuilt transmission, hollowed out cat. and dynomax muffler 2.5 inch...i dont know what kind of chip i can get and where i should get it so i can use all of the power of the 350....i am going to be putting on more mods soon like the 670 holley throttle body, and injector spacers within about 2 weeks.....but for now if you could help me get me a chip either by repling to this or by email toad0199@yahoo.com ....that would be greatly appreciated...thanks and hope to hear some replies back...

i have heard that tbichips.com is good but not to sure which one would be for my car........

Just drop him an e-mail, he will help you out. I got my first one from him, it got me started and on the road, but you really need to burn your own.

The manifold and 670tb will help if you open up the exshaust with some headers and a 3" cat back along with some good chip tuning. Might even add a Xtream energy cam too.

i am going to be going with the hooker headers part number 2210-1 with the mufflex 4 inch cat back system...im also going to be getting the afr 195 compition heads with gold series roller rockers aluminum intake(projection from holley), and a few other mods.......but all i want right now is some chip that will take advantage of my 350...will the caprie chip that tbichips.com has or should i just get the 305 one and then after all my mods get the correct chip made for my car....but i do want to put in a chip soon if you think that is the right thing to do.....

about the cam, im up for debates on which one is good....ive been looking at jegs and they have power ranges that im not to sure about, i dont want to guzzle that much gas but i do want to have a better quarter mile....i drive my camaro around town so i do need to save on the rising gas prices......low end torque to mid torque range....its mainly for the street racing around my area....ive gotten beaten by a few honda civics that had sooo much stuff done to them i only had the 305 with nothing done to it and rectenly been putting money into the car...new hobbies.......so i want to woop there butts this summer.....

also, i dont know which throttle body i should get.....do i get the one for the 350 or do i get the one for the 305.....which one would give me more hp.....thanks again

You need to get the one for a 350, Also did you put in a 350 knock sensor, and a 350 ESC Moudle when you did the swap from a 305 to a 350?

no, i kept the engine the way it was and didnt change anything that had to deal with the computer.....but now i know that i have to and am going to get the knock sensor, throttle body, and the esc thing..

thanks for all the help.......

which throttle body should i go for the 305 one or the 350 one.....

In terms of the chip, that sounds like a mild 350 so the caprice 9C1 chip you're looking at, like the one tbichips offers as u said, should be a good starting point. Your engine would probably run pretty good with that. What exhaust manifolds are you running with that 350 though, the stock LO3's? if so you're going to want to get some headers before the throttle body I'd say. Also, somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Holley 350 TB unit has really big injectors like 85lb/hr or something and with a 260hp 350 like you said it is that may be overkill and may not run right with that caprice chip. If you get that unit with big injectors you're going to want to get into tuning chips.

thanks for the inquary but i am going to be putting heads(195 afr compition series,intake manifold, roller rockers, push-rods, valves, and springs with it) and headers hooker part number 2210-1 and a 4" cat back system mufflex and their off road 7-pipe.....do you think that those injectors will be to big even with all these other mods being done....
