is this a good cam

when i got my 94'chevy 5.7 truckmotor the guy threw in a compcam #12-238-2 and i thought it wasnt gonna work with computer controlled and i wasnt sure it would work with a non roller motor....

for any more info check the sig
thanx
this what compcam said:

The #12-238-2 will not work with fuel injection. With a TBI setup you
will need #12-249-4. This will work for theTPI also, but you can go with a
bigger cam with the TPI without going to a chip. Here are the specs below.
Thank you,
Dennis M.

that is a very small cam. it would prolly work very well with tbi, but if you are gonna go through teh trouble of a cam swap i woudl suggest being a bit more aggressive. check out about 2 steps up the extreme energy line, zz4, and LT4 hot cam kit. these will all get you a lot more bang for your efforts once they are tuned in.

ive already got the cam out of the motor....the lifters were bad when i pulled the the intake off to check the wear and tear on the motor...im doing an engine overhaul on it...so ive already got the motor on a stand and the stock cam has some minor wear and tear, so all have to do is throw another cam in there. but the motor is not have a roller cam...so doesnt that mean the lt1, lt4 cams roller....i also only have 2 bux to spend on a new cam
