Jethot coating Intake?
Just wondering if I could get my intake ceramic coated if it would affect anything, or make me running like ishhhhhhh. I would either send my stock intake out have it ported and then coated or just get a carb intake and send that out to coated...

It's an interesting thought.
I imagine it might help. The stuff helps keep heat IN headers so why wouldn't it help keep heat OUT of the intake?
Although I'd fear that by some unknown means, some of the ceramic would flake off and get SUCKED in. :sillylol:
IMHO, it would be a waste of money. Not very good on the HP/$$ scale. The aluminum should be sufficient. An Air Gap manifold would probably give better results.

Depends on what got coated. I was under the impression that only the outside could get coated, not the inside. So it would keep the heat in, not out. No egr on the RPM or RPM air-gap but I'm not sure about the performer air-gap.
It would keep the aluminum from turning yellow but I can't see why anybody would coat the intake.

Jet Hot also has a thermal dissipation coating, call them and ask about it. 800.432.3379 If it does what they say it does, it might be perfect for an intake manifold.
