Question about Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold

Ok right now I have my CTS rigged up in hole D and my heater hose in hole A and I dont really trust my CTS reading.

Two questions, first can I use hole C to run the heater line to the heater core, then use hole A for the CTS? Or is C for something else? I'd like this one best because it'd hide the heater line the most.

Or would I have extend my wires for the CTS and to point B and keep the heater hose in point A?

Man I feel like I just hit you guys with a math problem, lol sorry

Chuck, if you don't trust the cts then replace it. You seem to have everything hooked up correctly. On your RPM aluminum intake the A, B and D holes should all give you the same tempature reading. As far as using the C hole for heater hose hook up I think I would stay with A. I'm sure you will get more replies as well.

I would also leave the cts in D. Then run a 90 degree from B to C2 (hidden from view), low profile of course. Then hook up your heater hose at C to the heater core. This way the coolant will go through the intake and keep it warm. Another option is to modify the intake to collect coolant from the back of the heads and bring it up to A and B. Put a restrictor in the line, this is how most racers modify the cooling system. Another options is to modify the intake for the rear coolant, have them come together and go into the heater core. Again, put a very small (1/4") restrictor. That would probably the way I would do it if I ever do take off the intake manifold.

I just looked at my performer rpm and I dont have a hole C. In fact that is my heat cross over, so if I plumbed coolent there it would come out my exhaust. I drilled and tapped ( off the car of course) the spot a couple inches to the right of hole A and mounted the CTS there. I hooked my heater core hose to A.
Good luck Chuck, Dave

I think I might do that too, where that indentation is already? Its yelling at me to drill/tap it out.

Thanks for the replies!

Yup, thats where I drilled. The wire harness seems to like that location. I was able to reuse one of the hoses from that vac operated colent valve to hook the heater core to the manifold.( I got rid of the valve and extra hoses). (looks alot cleaner under the hood). There is a T fitting in the other hose that went to that valve and I pluged it off.

Vortec heads don't have the exhaust EGR so it's blocked off, you can run coolant in the middle passage. Also there is no difference between A, B or D for coolant temp. All are in the intake manifold and right before the thermostat. Instead of taking all that time to drill and tap I simply used location D, took 4 butt connectors and 2 strands of wire, made the harness longer! Took me 5 minutes if that.

My bad, I was wondering why his manifold was different then mine. Should have looked at the sig I guess.
