Hi I'm new
Hey guys I just got a 91 Firebird 5sp 5.0 TBI i think its an RS. I am new to the 3rd Gens. I have mostly worked on 4x4's (Jeeps mostly) my dads Vette, and my friends 5.0 Stang(I know, I know I sad the "F" word). And I have a few questions.
Can I take a Stang?
Is $700 bad for a 3rd Gen with 102,000miles?
What are some good places to get resto parts for the interior and exterior?
What are the HP and Trq rating for this engine?
What Is the 0-60 and Qtr times?
What are some good mods?
OK now for a few tech questions can you make a TBI into a TPI? A friend of mine has a carburated 350 from the late 70's how difficult of a swap would it be and could the current tranny hold up to the increase in power? I was planning on building the 350 instead of hopping up the 305. Or should I just go with a crate motor? Oh any cheap places for headlight motors i know there expensive.
I will try to get pics of the car this weekend and post them.

Well it wouldn't be a Firebird and an RS, RS was a Camaro package.
Welcome. I will take a crack at some of your questions, and others can shoot me down if wrong.
You probably won't run with a 5.0 car. Not stock.
Good price!! What kind of shape is it in? Sounds cheap.
For parts, check nextgenparts.com or look around this site. You will find plenty.
That motor, the LO3, is rated at 170 HP, and about 250 ft lbs, if I recall.
Don't know 0-60, but quarter mile is going to be in the low 16's or high 15's, in the mid to upper 80 MPH region.
As for mods, search the board. Exhaust, TBI mods, gears. All this applies to any car. Open up the airflow in and out and see some results.

If headlights flip up like you said your looking for motors, then its a firebird... 
. No Firebird RS's though.
Nope, wont keep up with a 5.0 or 4.6 stang. Can keep up with a 3.8 stang though.
That is really cheap, the whoel car is there, not missing like the roof or nuttin ..
. I paid more for mine with more miles.
Also thirdgenreasource for parts ...

For mod ideas check out deadtread1's sig up there. He's got all the basics covered, and then into the cam. That's what you'll need if you wanna hang with some of the faster guys on the road!
