Cranks, wont start

1991 Camaro RS L03/700r4 - all stock, w/ dual snorkle air cleaner

Cranks and cranks and cranks, but wont start. Injectors arent shooting gas. They CANT be clogged, was driving, and it was running awsome. Went into store, came out, and it just wont start. Can hear injectors, cant hear fuel pump. I think its the relay, but what else could it be? I am so upset (so if I left stuff out or sound stupid, please forgive me! )

Any help or opinions are greatly needed as this is my only car!!!

sorry I thought that you said are.. ehhh I need to learn how to read.

Yeah sounds like the relay, the pump or the module is bad. More than likely I'm willing to bet that it is the fuel pump tho.

I've changed out my fuel pump, did it the standard way, drop the rear, cut the exhaust (welded cat back.. my bad) A 3 hour job and done well I might add. They isolate the tank for a reason you know. That is for the passenger's protection, and in no car design meant for the street has any access to the tank from the compartment. This is because its encompassed by litteraly a blast shield. Nothing more dangerous than anything other than a full tank under pressure. Gases under pressure when ignited will create a large explosion. On a TPI, this is 45 PSI... to get the fuel to flow at 45 psi, the gas in vapor form is also at 45 psi. The whole system must be at that pressure. As the tank drains and the volume of gas with 45 psi as its pressure increases. If rearended and the tank ruptures and explodes, no hackjob cover will save you from the ensuing fireball. An example of just how much force the passenger shielding affords is amazing. There have been instances where bombs are placed under the drivers side floor paneling under the car, and the driver survives. The paneling at the tank is the same design. Redirects the force of any explosion away from the passengers. With the integrety compromised, you now have a death trap.

Well, finally got it started. Wont start warm, only cold. Tested this out. I think maybe my fuel filter is bad. Would that affect how the car runs? Cuz it runs great, just wont start....

might be the fuel filter, but the pump may not be priming due to the wiring or because it is bad. i had this same problem, and a new fuel pump fixed it.

I didnt have to cut my exhaust. I just disconnected it at the cat and muffler, took the tires off and it moved out of the way enough to get the tank out. Took me one and a half solid days. At the time tho i knew nothing about cars. Plus allow some extra time to get some of those bolts out. They have been in there a long time and probably dont feel like coming out now.

I hope its just the filter, or maybe a bad wire somewhere (like the relay?)...
