Normal Idle RPM?
I've got a 305 TBI Auto and it's idling around 800RPM. Is this too high? I have to ride the brakes a lot...brakes that I had to replace just a year after getting new ones. I guess they got worn out from riding them so much. Anyways...what is the normal idle speed for an L03 and how do you change it?

Car: 88 Camaro SC
Engine: SFI'd 350
Transmission: TKO 500
Axle/Gears: 9-bolt w/ 3.23's
is that in gear? If you have your timing set way out and some performance mods it will idle high in gear. My 350 idles at around 575 in gear (stock tc still) and about 900 in neutral. Also check to see of the iac valve is sticky. I had to clean mine before i reinstalled it on my new motor because it wouldnt seat from all the carbon buildup crap on the tbi
