benefits would be minimal to cost. it costs lots of money to soup up a 305... i have done it. my advice is if u want to get into this... new heads, cam, intake, pistons, firged internals, roller rockers, etc... u will definately be running with the ls1's if u build it the right way

or juice the 305...benefits of that would be better gas milage but 100ish hp at the touch of a button i plan on just messing with the 305 i dont need super speed or anything im just gonna work with what i have

i agree with tas....soupin up a 305 costs a lot of money...but a gm high performance parts 330 hp 350 crate motor and put it in...u will be happy u did. i regret not doing it
