NHRA rules
I'm thinking I should be in the 13's with my new setup so I bought a helmet and put a driveshaft loop on for when I go to the track.
I was just wondering if anyone knows about NHRA's T-tops policy? Do they consider it a convertible. If so, NHRA requires a 6-point cage for convertible vehicles 13.99 or quicker. That would mean I'd have to put a cage in my car just to get some times.

T-top cars are concidered as a full bodied car not a convertiable. so what you have will be ok untill you hit 12.99 as far as I can remember.
I haven't really looked at all the rules for running in the 13s I have to compily with the 10.99 to 10.00 rules.

T-top cars like other full bodied cars don't need a roll bar until they hit 11.99 however you can't run with them out.
Section 1A, Body:7
Full bodied cars must have full top and windshield.
Although I've never questioned it, if you remove the T-tops, you'll probably need a full cage.

Convertibles need a roll bar at 13.99 and quicker. A simple 6 point bar is fine.
A 5 point harness will also be required. The harness must be SFI date coded and must be replaced or rewebbed and certified every 2 years.
