Installing lowering spring ???'s

I need new shocks and struts so I'm thinking about lowering springs, either Eibach Sport kit or Hotchkis. I'm wondering how hard it is to install these in the driveway with hand tools. I've heard people talk about spring compressors and stuff, but I've parted a couple thirdgens and if I remember correctly, all you have to do is raise the car high enough on jack stands and you can just pull the springs out, is this correct? Otherwise, what's the deal on installing these?
Also, how hard is it to do the shocks/struts myself? I don't think the fronts are a big deal, but how about the rears? Thanks.

for the rear all you need to do is release the lower part of the shock and lift from the body. for the front you'll need to lift the car high enough to let the lower control arm hang down. do that carefully. then take a pry bar and pop out the spring. the new lowered springs you put in will be shorter and therefor easier to put in.

Thanks mrr23. Any more thoughts on this? Did mrr23 cover it all?

The struts are easy..but the rear shocks are kind of a pain, just because of the top mount bolt. I had to remove a whole lot of interior plastic to get to em'......Anyone know of an easier way?:lala:
