lack of braking power

noone answered my last post.....maybe noone knows but thought i would try again. my 86 IROC does not have the same stopping power as my 86 SS even tho the camaro has high performance pads, new master, russell brake lines and the SS does not......can anyone explain the power brakes on thes cars. would a different kind of proportioning valve help?

thanks
terry

third gen brakes suck. i too have replaced the entire system. i have the 89+ system. "brake power" is the same if not worse than before. unless it has drums on the back then they suck.

A good power flush and bleed will bring these brakes from "they suck" to "they're just bad".

I'd settle for bad brakes. as in their current for they are from being called "brakes".
