Anyone use Falken tires?

Is anyone running or have ever used Falken tires? How good are they? I'm stuck between Falken FK-ZE502 ZIEX or the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's. Thanks.

I had the ZE502's. When I bought them they were like $80 a piece. Now they're like $120 a piece. They didn't last very long, less than 15000 miles. They're very soft and if you have the factory 16" rims, you cant rotate them without taking the tire off the rim and flipping it over. I would go with the Kumho's.

I use falken 502's, and for the price are an excellent tire (255/45x17). Mine are mounted on 17's though. I hve no trouble rotating front to back because my rims are all 17x8 with 4.5 inch backspacing ( you can't rotate front to back with 16 inch factory rims anyway, because of the different offsets). They are directional though, so you can't switch sides, just front to back. mine have about 18,000 miles on them and are at about half way used up. They are soft, but that's what makes tires grip. They hook up a LOT better than my winter rims and tires (stupid bigs and littles) that are 295's on the rear. You will not be disappointed.

Also, anyone run with Nitto 450's? I'm leaning towards them now. And with the tread rating, higher numbers are better right?

I have the Falken GRB-II's.Good handling tires, in my opinion (245-45ZR16) and better in rain than any others I've tried.

i have falken 255's rear. looks good and price was reasonable. i used to have 215's rear and difference was noticeable. those are not for drag racing but do the job anyway, maybe?

Falken ZIEX

Yeah, I'm running 245-50-16 ZIEX's all around on my '91 Camaro. They are a good directional tire with great handling in wet conditions (just like it's dry!). My only complaint would be that they corner louder than maybe a soft Goodyear... but they have lasted longer! Would I buy them again? For their price, you bet ya!

I too am running the 245/50-16 HR ZIEX Falkens. I'm happy with them. I especially like the little rubber lip that extends out from the tire near the rim. I feel it helps to prevent minor road damage to the rim. They last about as long as any other tire I've used.
