Hey guys, I recently redid the front suspension on my car. Ac Delco springs, new shocks, end links, and control arm bushings. I set the car down and the front was in monster truck mode, so I bought lowering springs that fit in much easier and are shorter but it looks like they lifted the car even more. Any suggestions on what might be wrong? This is the wheel gap with the car on the ground with lowering springs....yes the motor is in the car
Have you driven it yet? I know that when I jack mine up and let the suspension hang it looks similar to your pic when lowered back on the ground, just maybe not as high. I just drive out of the garage and around the block and it settles back down.

I hope you're right, because my car has the same issue. Will probably be next month before I drive it...
Make sure your springs are seated in the upper perches. There's a circular step that locates the spring on top. I had this last week while putting my car together. Had to take a big pry bar and move the spring until it popped in to place. You can look up inside the spring from the lower control arm pocket.
I didn’t get to drive it around the block yet. It current has a cracked block fml. I’ll take a look under it and see if I can see if the springs are seated correctly in the upper perch
Something with the springs is not right. As mentioned make sure the top and bottom of the springs are correctly installed in their perch. I would not drive the car like that.
Did you roll the car forward and back a few times? If you just dropped it on the gound it is being held up by the tires/suspension not being allowed to travel because of friction
Tires are gripping the floor and holding the suspension up. You just need a slip surface the tires can move on. Put two sheets of metal or plastic under the tire with grease between the sheets. Drop the car on it and the top sheet will slip and let the suspension settle.
Re: Help! Lowering springs raised car UPDATED FIXED
Hi everyone, thanks for the tips and possible solutions. I slid under the car and looked at the upper perches. The springs are not seated properly and are hung up. Once I get them seated properly I imagine it will sit just right. I’ll update with a new pic after I fix the springs.
