1991 z28 steering fight
Hey there, long time lurker, been too busy to post on here, but I've been fighting a steering issue on my car since I purchased it a little over a year ago. What it's doing is it doesn't want to stay driving straight, and feels dead in the center, and when it does pull it wants to dive into a turn. Pretty frightening to drive down the road in town, let alone the freeway in traffic.
So far I've changed literally everything except the struts. Inner and outer tie rods, center link, idler arm, on my fourth gear box, upper strut mounts, ball joints, new tires, freshly balanced, countless alignments, rag joint delete, converted it to a steering linkage from an old jeep with U joints in it (trick I learned here.) New steering pump and fresh fluid.
It is a convertible, and I hope that the braces installed by the factory aren't working themselves loose at the rivets. Would love to get some input from all of you.

Not sure if the 4th gen has the adjustment, but go to the second post for adjustment https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/susp...nsion-how.html

The box was one and a half full turns from stop, then backed it out half a turn. Only backing it out 1/4 turn made the steering too tight and jumpy.
