Power steering hoses?
What's the easiest way to go about changing the factory hoses to work with the new pump I got for a 350 swap? New engine is non computer controlled if it makes a difference.
The stock hose is the wrong length and angle.

Re: Power steering hoses?
should hook right up, unless your new pump has an SAE flare fitting in the back, in which case you just unscrew the fitting from the back of your old pump and put it into your new pump, then hook the lines back up..

The fittings are the same I meant the hose is too long and with the angle of the fitting it won't go into the pump.

Re: Power steering hoses?
I figured there ought to be a way to make it work with the pump I have. Or what it just be easier to buy a different pump and then swap the pulley? Actually now that I think of it since the car is an 89 would a pump for an 89 v8 work?

Re: Power steering hoses?
Easier to get the right pump for the application and put your pulley on it. (assuking of course that your pulley is for V-belt... if not, buy one, they're CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP)
No a 89 pump might not work. Might be in a different position (different bracket arrangement, after all), might be in a different place, no guarantees.
OTOH the correct pump for the bracket system you have is just about GUARANTEED, 100% ironclad no questions asked take it to the bank FO SHO, to fit.
