VSE "herb adams" decoupled torque arm for the thrid-gen
T56 transmission torque arm suspension options for the third-gen. The Spohn system does not allow for Hooker long tube headers, unfortunately.
Unbalanced Engineering's decoupled torque arm for the fourth-gen, modified to fit the third-gen with Hooker LT's.

That thing is crazy looking. Make for a pretty harsh ride?

These are interesting, how do they ride and work?

I'm not a suspension guy like some of the others so I can't provide the nitty gritty.
But they work on the principle of varying the effective length of the torque arm. Under braking, they act like long torque arm. Under acceleration they act like a short torque arm.
The effective change is better braking and acceleration. I'm not sure how much maintenance they need though, or how annoying they might be on the street.
Since i primarily want track performance out of the GTA with a little civility I have thought about them. To be honest, the advantages in braking ability sound amazing to me. Braking is one of the stock suspension's weakest points to me even with upgraded brakes.
NM, Forgot that UE has a nice page on why the de-coupled TA works.

The BMR trak pak takes the TA off the trans, and uses a turn-buckle on the cross-member. Not as dramatic, but same line of thinking.
